Arkansas spent the largest part of the game with 12 personnel yesterday. I think Enos is going to use this group a lot as I see a lot of NFL influence in this offense. Here is a breakdown of NFL teams that use 12 personnel as their primary go to package.
1) Cin- 42.32 %
2) Hou- 42.06
3) Dal- 37.69
4) Car- 37.02
5) Det- 24.55
6) Den- 20.33
Just to name some teams that use this package a lot
Dallas used also 11 Personnel 50.37% of the time last season. That was our second most used grouping as well. NE started the 12 personnel package as their primary offense a few years back. If you breakdown a lot of what Arkansas did yesterday you can see a lot of the Dallas offense from last year. We stayed pretty base with a lot of it, but a lot of the pass combos and the 5 run plays we used Saturday (Draw, Sweep, Counter, g trap, and a zone run or two).
Since the NE success in 2007 with the two tight end packages with single back and two wide you have seen more teams using this in the league. I believe as we see this offense develop throughout this year you are going to see more of the Dallas influence from last year. Big offensive line, two tight ends, play maker's outside at the wide out spot. Then they can come back with 13, 12, 11 personnel with Drew Morgan and (possibly Jo Jo if he ever gets his head on straight) to mix it up.
I think you might see some zone scheme out of this offense.
We did use this look yesterday as well with both Keon and Drew
I think you will see more and more similarities as Sprinkle and Henry will both have huge years. It won't be long until teams won't be able to sell out to stopping the run, and if they have to play us straight up-- much like Dallas last year-- it will be extremely hard to stop this offense.
