... Arkansas has indeed offered, 2012 wing Twymond Howard, a 6'5 Pearl HS (MS) (alma mater of BB SID Robbie Edwards and ex-Miss.St.HC Richard Williams) has received an offer from Arkansas. He played in the most difficult league in Miss. and avearge 21 points and 9 rebounds. I was told by 8 time state championship and long time Jackson Lanier HS HC, Thomas Billups (who has had 6 McDonalds AA's) that Howard was the best Frosh, he has played and Wayne Brent (former OM asst.) and current Jackson Callaway HC) the kid was the best HS Frosh, he has seen, which is my opinion ,however, Wayne is the Reebok grassroots man for Miss.,Lousiana,and west AL. In addition he attends all the Reebok summer events.

In regard to recent Memphis signee, Latavious Williams a 6'8, Travis Outlaw caliber athlete, who attended Starkville (MS) HS, then Heritage CHristian (TX) prep school, who I told the Arkansas staff he is about 10 times better than Glen Bryant, will not qualify and play professionally overseas.
As of Monday, there has still been no official or unofficial 2010 prospects who have visited Arkansas, so I still have no idea what is going on or what they could be thinking.
I was asked for a 2010 Lousiana list,however, their may be 3 at the very most who are high major players who will qualify and two are from Baton Rouge. This appears to be a dry recruiting hole for 2010.
Updates when summer league starts next week in Miss. and will attend some summer league games that started in Lousiana last week, next week.
Jackson summer league is when I realized, Jeremy Adams,was a legit high major player,however, the current recruiting cordinator chose to evaluate based solely on the AAU season, which in Adams case,was a horrible indicator of the kids ability. This is a kid they should have signed last Nov., however,the current recruiting cordinator (who was glossed as the "best recruiter" in the south by the HC) didn't see things the same way until it was too late.
