I was 14 years old, watching the Midsummer Classic with a bunch of college kids in Texarkana as they
emptied one Bud after another. And even though it was past my bedtime, I sat there, mesmerized by each pitch. Aaron, Mays, Clemente, Bench, Yaz, Carew, Seaver, and more, some of the greatest players the game has ever seen, the drama playing out right before my star-gazed eyes.
