It came to me after hearing several times today in different posts and stories across the Internet about the problem being in the locker room and team discord.
I think it unfortunately is again is the coaches mouth. I don't know what he said in the locker room but in two seperate media interviews he has made it known he feels our D has little talent, calling them the bad news bears. A bunch of rag tag players. I know it isn't a horrible or inaccurate statement, but telling a bunch of players they essentially the left over misfit kids that are not the best isn't how you build team spirit or confidence. I just think it makes for hurt feelings, Then you start believing you arent good enough especially when your coach says it. He should at all times make them feel like they are the diamond in the rough even if he doesn't believe it. It is like telling your kid they are a no talent hack then expecting them to perform well at whatever activity you said they ain't good at.
