Ok so I’ve been thinking about this and the balance of power between the two divisions of the NFL is vastly in favor of the AFC in the future. If QB play is the key let’s look at the QB’s for both divisions.

AFC
Bills- Josh Allen
Dolphins- Tua
Patriots- Mac Jones
Jets- Zach Wilson

Ravens- Lamar Jackson
Bengals- Joe Burrow
Browns- Baker Mayfield
Steelers- Mason Rudolph (looking)

Texans- Davis Mills
Colts- Carson Wentz or Sam Ehlinger
Jags- Trevor Lawrence
Titans- Ryan Tannehill (looking)

Broncos- Drew Lock (looking)
Chiefs- Mahomes
Raiders- Derek Carr
Chargers- Justin Herbert

NFC
Cowboys- Dak Prescott
Giants- Daniel Jones
Eagles- Jalen Hurts
Commanders- Taylor Heinekie

Bears- Dwayne Haskins
Lions- Jared Goff
Packers- Aaron Rodgers
Vikings- Kirk Cousins

Falcons- Matt Ryan
Panthers- Sam Darnold
Bucs- Kyle Trask
Saints- Ian Book or Taysom Hill

Cardinals- Kyler Murray
Rams- Mathew Stafford
49ers- Jimmy G
Seahawks- Russell Wilson

That said the NFC has aging star QB’s and the young ones don’t have the star power of the AFC. I just thought it was interesting that outside of Kyler Murray and maybe Daniel Jones who aren’t on the level of Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Herbert, Jones or Lawrence there isn’t a QB that is in the NFC in the beginning of their career that can do what those guys have the potential of doing. The NFC needs to do a really good job of evaluating QB’s over the next few years to keep pace.
Thoughts?
