Another service updated their top 100 yesterday. Here were the Arkansas-related changes:
Malik Monk: From 4 to 7
De'Aaron Fox: Wasn't tracking lately; comes in at 15
Terrance Ferguson: From 7 to 17
Edrice Adebayo: Wasn't tracking lately; comes in at 25
Schnider Herard: From 45 to 46
De'Ron Davis: From 29 to 56
De'Riante Jenkins: From NR to 62
Jaylen Fisher: From 68 to 80
Jacob Young: From NR to 82
Tyler Cook: From 95 to NR 3 Star (appears to be within top 125)
Others: Micah Thomas stayed a NR 3 star, but appears to be in the top 125. Eric Curry went from NR to a NR 3 star, and appears within the top 150.
I'll go ahead and mention that I think we're longshots for Fox, Adebayo and Herard, but still listing them b/c it hasn't been too long since we were mentioned as associated with them. I almost left off Herard b/c it's been almost 9 months, and there were no reports of us watching him this spring. Fox mentioned us in an article a few weeks ago. We offered Adebayo (which means that he showed us some consideration) almost 2 months ago. As most of you read, the Ferguson relationship perhaps isn't as heated as one reporter thought before.
Davis will cut his list in a month or so, and I think we make top 5. He continues to be enamored with Arizona and Indiana, it seems. It will be interesting if those schools have others in front of him. If they do, we have a shot, I think. My expectations have stayed low there, though.
The Jenkins relationship is still new, so we'll see there.
Fisher has battled injuries in the spring circuit, and hasn't been as productive as perhaps expected (thus, the drop in ranking). However, he's no less attractive to me, and I believe we remain a serious contender for him. We need to lock up a visit the next few months.
The Young relationship is new, too. Rotnei Clarke type player in that he's more of an undersized 2, but can score so well that he'd be successful at the college level.
We know about Cook; visiting next weekend. Could be a Mizzou/Arkansas battle.
Thomas' recruitment has been quiet, and he hasn't produced consistently during the spring circuit, but I like him as a prospect.
Curry's recruitment is hot due to his solid performance in the spring. We're looking. I wouldn't rule out an offer from us.
