Here is an interesting story about competing tournaments between Nike and Under Armour. Monk will be playing down in the Bahamas (UA) and not New York (Nike).
Its interesting how deep the apparel companies are getting in on the amateur side of sports and how its rather loose when you think about "amateur" status of a player in college.
It may be time to re-look at this system so it doesn't, or worse yet, get as bad as FIFA type stuff.
I am not implying Monk or other players are taking money. What I am saying is that kids are around all these companies early on which creates the opportunities for things to happen. A lot going on that should be examined more closely, maybe...
