We continue HawgBeat's series of analyzing Arkansas' games through the lens of Pro Football Focus after the Razorbacks' 27-20 loss to Ole Miss.

Here are grades on the defensive side of the ball from the Ole Miss game.

- DB Alfahiym Walcott finished with the defense's second-worst grade (51.9) despite a 74.3 run defense ranking and a team second-best tackling grade at 82.6.
- DL Trajan Jeffcoat was excellent in pass rush situations against the Rebels, as he ended the game with a team-best 78.4 pass rush grade.
- LB Jaheim Thomas fell from the fourth-highest rated player against Texas A&M to the 17th overall player against the Rebels at 57.8. He did have a team second-best 74.0 pass rush grade.
- Seven of the top 10 rated players are defensive linemen, with Nico Davillier (73.5), Trajan Jeffcoat (73.2) and Eric Gregory (69.8) rounding out the top five overall players.
- LB Brad Spence, DL Keivie Rose and DB TJ Metcalf struggled in the tackling department, with 29.9, 28.1 and 19.9 grades, respectively.
- DB Lorando Johnson finished 17.4 points above his season average for the season (71.9). He ended the game with a run defense grade of 75.0, a tackling grade of 83.2 and a coverage grade of 75.2.
- It's the second week in a row that LB Chris Paul Jr. has finished with an overall grade below 60.0. The former All-Freshman SEC standout had a 43.9 grade against Texas A&M and a 58.1 grade versus Ole Miss. It’s worth noting that Paul had to leave the game in the second quarter with a head/neck injury.
- The team's defensive rating of 69.3 is the highest in SEC play, as the Razorbacks finished with a 55.5 grade against LSU and a 62.8 grade against Texas A&M.
