We continue HawgBeat's series of analyzing Arkansas' games through the lens of Pro Football Focus after the Razorbacks' 34-22 loss to Texas A&M.

The analytics from PFF keeps track of grades for each player on a scale of 0-100. The website goes further into depth on specific grades, but for the purpose of this story, we will just look at defensive grades.

Here are grades on the defensive side of the ball from the Texas A&M game.

Notes

- Out of all defensive grades, only one saw a decrease from last week's matchup with LSU according to PFF. Run defense dropped from 56.6 to 52.9 against Texas A&M. The biggest improvement came in coverage, elevating from 57.3 to 68.7.

- Only four of the 26 defenders who played against the Aggies finished with a PFF grade above their season grade: Jordan Crook, Alfahiym Walcott, Kee'yon Stewart and Lorando Johnson.

- Brad Spence, Anthony Booker Jr., Jayden Johnson, Taurean Carter, Chris Paul Jr. and Ian Geffrard all ended the game with a PFF grade 10.0+ points below their season grade.

- Of the starting secondary group, Lorando Johnson had the highest coverage grade (73.7) while Jayden Johnson had the lowest (47.0).

- Despite having the highest coverage grade, Lorando Johnson had the team's worst run defense grade (33.3) and fourth-worst tackling grade (43.3).

- Walcott performed the best in pass rush situations according to PFF, as he collected a team-high grade of 81.3.

- Arkansas' highest rated defensive lineman — Eric Gregory — posted a 38.5 tackling grade despite a 72.4 overall grade.

- It should be noted that though they were the top two graded defenders, Dwight McGlothern (80.6) and Crook (79.2) played a combined 35 snaps. McGlothern left the game in the second quarter with a concussion, according to head coach Sam Pittman.

- Linebacker Antonio Grier proved to be a solid backup, as he finished the game with a considerably higher grade (62.8) than Chris Paul Jr. (43.9).
