After looking like they just didn't have it in them with a 12-point deficit to Texas A&M and 12:51 on the clock, Arkansas raced back to take a lead with 3:15 to go and then almost gave it away in the closing seconds before holding on for a 62-60 win in Reed Arena.

Arkansas (14-4, 3-3 SEC) reached its biggest deficit of the game, 12 points and down 48-36, with 12:51 to go. But then they raced past Texas A&M (9-8, 1-5 SEC) 26-12 the rest of the way - a stretch that included a 5-minute and 56-second scoring drought. Additionally, the Aggies failed to score a single field goal the final 6:52, missing their last 6 shot attempts and 8 of their last 9 overall.

Before getting to the point where Arkansas tried to give it back to A&M and could have won by 7-10 points, it is important to note that a lot of Razorback teams in recent memory would have watched that 12-point Aggie lead turn into 20 by game's end. This team, while it was ugly, fought back to take a 3-point lead.

The defining possession in which Arkansas took the late lead for good started with a steal by Arlando Cook, 3 offensive rebounds by Moses Kingsley (2 off his own shots) and one that resulted in a tip-in for the lead. It was part of a 7-0 Razorback run after holding A&M scoreless for over 4 minutes at that time.

Even the ugliest road wins are pretty in the SEC, but if there was ever an exception it was the final 26 seconds for Arkansas. Up a point, 61-60, Jalen Barford missed a pair of must-have free throws. Arkansas got lucky and the rebound attempt went out on A&M.

Then Barford in-bounded to Daryl Macon, who dribbled the ball out-of-bounds right inf front of the Arkansas bench. UA coach Mike Anderson's jacket immediately came off at that point. Luckily for Arkansas, D.J. Hogg's ensuing 3-pointer went off the glass, and Macon rebounded. Then after being fouled, Macon made the first free throw but missed the second with 5.1 seconds left, leaving the Hog lead at 2 points. A&M's Admon Gilder's desperation 3-pointer from 24 feet at the top of the key went off the glass no good, and the Hogs escaped with a precious 62-60 road win...
