* Arlando Cook ... another poster informed us earlier today that Arlando Cook de-committed from Nevada and has reopened his recruitment, but according to the linked story, a newspaper in Reno is reporting that Nevada initiated his de-commitment. I guess we'll find out soon enough who backed off -- him or Nevada -- if/when he commits elsewhere, but my guess is academics are the catalyst for this de-commitment, thus he will likely have to wait till the spring to see where his grades are before he can sign somewhere desirable. Who knows, maybe not, I'm just speculating at this point.

* Andrew Gordon ... I posted yesterday that I was hearing that Arkansas will not bring him in for his visit, and I've since heard that info is also being mentioned by RD. I have not confirmed it, but apparently it's out there. AG was headed to juco prior to reclassifying for 2016 and transferring to a prep school, so maybe his academic progress is not on schedule here, or maybe we think we've got a shot at someone else we prefer more. In addition to offers from us, Xavier, Ole Miss, Memphis, Richmond, LaSalle, and Rhode Island, Gordon is reportedly now drawing interest from Pitt, Illinois, and Penn State to go along with other schools who have shown interest but not offered in Auburn, Alabama, Cincy, Wake Forest, and Providence.

* Malik Monk ... not really an update, just a guess that Arkansas does something "uncommon" or "out of the box" during his visit to make an impression on homecoming weekend. Time to pull out all the stops and do something big and memorable for him. Whatever they can do within the confines of the rules, or outside the lines if they can get away with it, MUST be done. If nothing special is planned to woo him, then consider this a plea for some last-minute strategy and over-the-top tactics to get him to Arkansas. Flamboyance may not be MA's style, but an exception must be made because we must take our best shot over the weekend for this kid.
