EDIT on 11/04: OK has predicted Arlando Cook to Arkansas on TOS' national player profile page within the hour ... did not see him at the game last night, but maybe he still has a subscription to RE???

I was at the game tonight between Arkansas Baptist and No. 5 Connors State -- which, Charles Ripley's team pulled out the upset, 88-83, in an exciting game.

Mike Anderson and TJ Cleveland were in the house, arrived about 15 minutes before tip. I spoke with Arlando before and after the game -- I will be doing a good amount of basketball coverage this year for Jim Harris's website -- and Arlando told me Arkansas is his current leader with Iowa State next.

He also told me that he does not know yet when he will take an OV -- remember, he visited in late August unofficially -- or whether or not he wants to sign early or late. I do KNOW that the staff views tonight's game as the first of 2-3 upcoming re-evals of Cook.

He started strong and had a double-double by the halfway mark of the first half, but picked up his 2nd foul with about 9 minutes to play in the opening half and his 3rd with about 3 minutes left, and from there he was noticeably passive for long stretches of the game.

Still, he finished with 21 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and 5 turnovers. He shot 7-of-14 from the field (0-of-2 from 3, 1-of-4 in the mid-range, and 6-of-8 around the basket), and he was 7-of-10 from the FT line. Will be interesting to see what RD reports as his numbers in this game, because he took pics of the official score book with his phone at halftime and after the game, and I checked the book and it was off by a bucket and a FT at the half. You can bank the numbers I've posted here.

More on his play, the game, and who else was there in attendance after I wolf down some well-deserved Sonic.
