With his 3 for 3 effort Sunday, he raised his Batting Average to .405 . . . Ted Williams territory for you older guys.
But what is truly remarkable about it is that he's actually improved upon that during the SEC season. Against the best Conference pitching in the country, AB is now hitting .442. In fact, he could go 0 for 11 next week vs. Georgia pitching (and THAT isn't gonna happen), and he'll still be a .400 hitter in SEC action.

Obviously, he's much more than "just' an average hitter. He's now flashed some power, is driving in runs, is stealing bases and playing excellent defense.
I don't see Tim Tebow on this year's Golden Spikes list. If AB doesn't win that award this year - after how DMac got shafted, we may never have someone win "Player of the Year'.
