I keep driving and driving expecting to get to New Orleans within three hours and fifteen minutes, but I can't seem to do it...
You see, Cleveland, MS, is an hour and fifteen minutes south from Helena, and Southwest Mississippi is at most two hours from NO, and since Delta State is in Cleveland in Southwest Mississippi, I should be able to get to New Orleans within three hours and fifteen minutes. Problem is, after driving for three hours and fifteen minutes I am in Jackson...which is, of course, NORTH of Southwest Mississippi. So, I keep turning around and doing it over...trying to find out what is wrong.
What kind of black hole event is my car heading into? Has Helena totally fallen off the map? I know that "Razorback Nation" no longer extends east of Little Rock, nor South of Benton, but I didn't realize that Phillips County had been thrown into a time-space warp.
Or is it possible that my South Arkansas friend has gone totally NWA and forgotten his Ark-La-Miss geography?
I just drove south past Cleveland again, and Jackson is still in front of...WTF? Biddy, help!
Or is this the same event that moves Stuttgart to the Delta when it is cool and into the Prairie when it is not?
