- Brandon Allen hit Keon Hatcher on a short pass the second play of the scrimmage, and Hatcher shook freshman corner Ryan Pulley on his way to a 45-yard pickup down to the defense's 45-yard line.
- Austin Allen hit Dominique Reed for 51 yards over Jared Collins down to the 15-yard line. The ball travelled all the way to the 15-yard line, and was actually well underthrown, but Reed went up and got it in a jump ball situation.
- Sixteen plays in, linebacker Dre Greenlaw came on a blitz and tipped a Brandon Allen pass. End Jeremiah Ledbetter got low and scooped up the interception, maintained his balance and raced 41 yards the other way for a touchdown.
