Team in danger of missing postseason
Bonagura: The last time the Cowboys didn't go bowling came in Mike Gundy's first season as head coach in 2005. They sit at 2-2, and ESPN's Football Power Index suggests their projected win total at 4.7, which, of course, even if rounded up would leave the Cowboys home for just the second time in 22 years.
Schlabach: I'm not sure who Arkansas coach Sam Pittman ticked off in the SEC office, but the Hogs' schedule left them no room for error. They lost their third straight game, 34-22 to Texas A&M at Jerry World in Arlington, Texas. Now Arkansas gets to play at Ole Miss and at Alabama in consecutive weeks. The Aggies held the Hogs to only 174 yards of offense and had seven sacks and 15 tackles for loss. It's difficult to find four more victories on Arkansas' schedule.
