-“At this time last year we were looking at a class of maybe 14-15 guys,” he said. “We landed on 20 right now, but not done yet.”
-Bielema said he’d like to sign a class of 19 or 20 every year, and that’d be idea.

-He said he was paying a compliment to Florida when he said they’re doing some shocking things in recruiting, not that they were doing anything wrong. He has also reached out to Hugh Freeze and Jim McElwain.

-Bielema said they needed to sign immediate help on the offensive line, so they’re pleased to bring in Terrance Malone. The early reports on him (enrolled) have been big. They also think Paul Ramirez can help early.

-McTelvin Agim has proven he can play right away “Where we don’t know.” Agim is up to 280 pounds now. They look for Agim to provide help right away.

-Bielema mentioned something about ‘we know Austin Capps can play either side of the ball.’

-He said Briston Guidry was a fun recruiting story and has been a shining star for them.

-Bielema said the above players addressed their needs on the offensive line and defensive line.

-They wanted to sign three high school linebackers and a junior college linebacker but couldn’t find the right fit, so they went with four high school linebackers. He spoke a lot about Dejon Harris and Alexy Jean-Baptiste.

-He said he’s excited about Deon Edwards and likes their late pursuit of Micah Smith.

-Bielema said they have Cole Kelley at 6-7, 257 (from a year ago). He said Kelley throws the ball a 100 mph (not really). They wanted to get him in early but weren’t able to get it done.

-Bielema said they’re going to start T.J. Hammonds off at running back and also work him at slot receiver and at punt return. He said Jordan Jones dropped a sub-4.4 in the 40 at their camp and then didn’t waiver when several other SEC teams came in after him.

-He called Kofi Boeteng a tall, rangy gifted receiver. Bielema said Hayden Johnson wanted to play fullback and stood strong with them when others came after him.

-Devwah Whaley, Bielema said, is as gifted as any back he has ever recruited. Bielema said he saw through the recruiting process and saw the opportunity at Arkansas.

-Bielema said it was a lighter year for instate recruiting, and he was told when he came in that it’s very cyclical. He said Dylan Hays will join them in some capacity in a scholarship form, to be determined.

-"I signed a six-year contract. I plan on being here as long as I can be here. The thing you don't know is assistants..." - Bielema said he spoke to Heinrich about the situation before Sam Pittman departed.

-Bielema spoke that some senior transfers are very intriguing and they start reaching out when their junior seasons are done. Some won't come out until after NSD. He could go to a maximum of 23 in this class, he said.

-The latest on Rawleigh Williams, Bielema said his mother found a second opinion and it lined up exactly with what their people said. He got cleared for everything, even squat lifting. He's been cleared for everything in the weight room and for non-scrimmage in spring football.

-On cleanup proceedures, D.J. Dean and Drew Morgan both had minor surgeries. Dean is in his last week in a boot. Morgan got in trouble for removing his sling a week early. Jack Kraus had surgery, and it was significant. There'll be a few others who will be restricted.

-Bielema said there's an outside chance of one. When he walked out of the room there was one he didn't know about.

-C.J. O'Grady, Dre Greenlaw and Jamario Bell have been 'removed' for a week due to academics. We'll see if they're brought back on Monday.

-Randy Ramsey has been outstanding in his time back as a walk-on, Bielema said.

-The 8-week winter training program started this past Monday.

-Hjalte Froholdt will move to offensive guard. Damon Mitchell has expressed interest in moving to safety or running back full-time.

-Bielema said he was really concerned with the safeties and linebackers last season and so they hit that area hard.

-On Jonathan Marshall, they decided they wanted a big 5-technique and he rose to the top of their board and then they offered.

-Bielema said all the new linebackers can run, and they all can hit. Bielema said they don't speak English in Alexy Jean-Baptiste's home. They speak Haitian. He called Giovanni LaFrance a straight thumper in the middle. He called Dee Walker rangy and could play both outside spots.

-Bielema said he has had very few players decommit to him in the final month of recruiting (though they had two this year).

-Bielema said Ryan Pulley had really good bowl practices, and he likes the young guys, so he felt safety was a bigger need than corner.

-Bielema said he will find out where Kendrick Jackson will fit. He'd like to put him at linebacker to see what he can do, and he doesn't think the need is as big at fullback heading into 2016.

-Bielema said it was really fun working with the quarterbacks. He had six practices for the bowl game without Brandon Allen even on the field so they would feel what it was like without him and the other QBs on there. He said Austin Allen continues to make some good things happen, but by no way he's perfect. He said Rafe Peavey has great work ethic and a drive. Ty Storey continues to get better but needs to get stronger and address some areas of need. He said Ricky Town looked good in scout work, but he is deficient in 'Hoganese,' and it was like they were speaking French to him. They're going to give Cole Kelley every shot when he gets in, too.
