Bielema admits that there are no assurances in keeping a staff together.
But, looking at the coordinators and assistants we have now, it seems
like a pretty close knit family, comfortable in their jobs as Hogs and focused
on team development.
It has been a bit of a revolving door, and there was always the sense that
some staff members were only interested in stepping on stones to what
they felt would be higher career destinations. The early mantra in fact was
"a staff of head coaches". Whether that goal was reachable or not, many
staffers seemed unattentive to Hog business. Some left. Some were pushed.
Our current guys seem geared, first of all, to meeting the challenge ahead.
And it looks like that they could be with us for quite a while. God Bless.
