Danny made a ppst a few weeks back wondering why Cecil Langston wasn't on the All-Star roster.
I've done some checking and this is what I found out.
Cecil WAS nominated by his coach, he just simply wasn't picked to be on the team this year. This was the first year that the All-Star coaching staffs got to select their players. Generally, it's been voted on.
However, this year each coaching staff got to select their teams from a list of players (pretty much a draft), and Cecil was not selected.
So, Danny is 100% correct when he says Cecil was screwed out of being named to the team this year. How do you not select the guy who broke the state rushing record on a state title game?
Also, Cecil signed with Henderson State on NSD.
