I was five years old when the Challanger disaster occured. I remember being at my grandmother's house and she was so upset. She watched it all day and I remember her talking to me about what happened.
I watched a show on it last night and I was never aware of all the issues they had before launch. Two of the engineers actually tried desperately to stop the launch because they knew there were issues.
Man, just a horrifying deal. I can't believe it's been 30 years.
