I'd like to try a little exercise if you will. For those firmly on the Pittman bandwagon, those that are off, and any in between. What examples in Sam Pittman's time as HC inspire confidence that he will turn it around this year? What does not inspire confidence?
I think it could be productive to understand where each side is coming from and may bring some nuance to the conversation. Here is my list, obviously I find myself in the "off the bandwagon" category.
Things that inspire confidence:
-bringing in Bobby
-good haul from the portal this year
-letting Kennedy go
Things that don't inspire confidence:
-poor in game management (this could be an entire list itself)
-unwillingness to embrace NIL
-offensive line being putrid
-giving up on in state recruiting
-team quitting on him last year
-shanningans in the locker room
-keeping bad assistants
-bad at post game interviews
