As we head into our first OV weekend since the dead period ended, I revisited the roster that Trey shared a few weeks back. I know this time of year there is always a lot of questions regarding how many spots the recruiting class can absorb.
As it stands right now (including signees and our lone commitment), the Hogs have 83 players "on scholarship." If they plan to sign another 6-8, that means 4-6 will have to transfer prior to the start of fall classes in August. If the Hogs sign more than that though - it probably means that the coaches have projected a higher attrition rate that we know as of now.
That being said, the team breakdown by class includes 18 seniors, 23 juniors, 19 sophomores, 14 redshirt freshmen, and 9 signees/commitments.
