I'm looking for some signs that Coach Sam Pittman is doing his job coaching up this O Line. WE ALL KNOW he is an ACE recruiter and that is probably more important at Arkansas than being the best coach. He is our best shot at landing people that everyone else wants too.
But we might currently have 7 of the best offensive Linemen we ever have or will ever have at the UA right now. I know its not deep, but the starting 5 and top to backups are all projected to play on sundays.
So are we blowing it? Why so many holding penalties? False Starts? I have to put the blame on the coaches for these type of mistakes. I'm proud of the run game continuing to improve. I'm proud that we have protected our QB. But we all know we lack in playmakers, and we cannot recover from 1 and 15 or second and 20.
I really expect Coach Pittman to remedy this situation. None of these guys will be in the NFL long if they hurt their team like they are hurting this one. IT NEEDS TO CHANGE THIS WEEK.
I love Coach Pittman, but he has been excluded from criticism a lot, and I'm not pleased with the O lines performance in the penalty department. He needs to make the adjustments now.
