So we all want football this fall. Players aren’t a high risk group, but some refs may be.
I have seen games in the past where a member of the officiating crew gets hurt. There is usually an extra ref off the field, who comes in and takes a spot, sometimes moving crew members around.
But here’s my odd question, what about covid? If part of or one of the crew gets covid, then they all have to be tested & quarantined, will the sec have another entire crew as back up or on standby for last minute changes on game days (or day before) around all the sec games this fall? chain gang, replay officials, etc
I would think they’d have to.
same could be asked about tv crews, cameramen, producers and announcers I would guess
maybe sec has always had contingency plans and have crews on standby, idk
sorry this was a water cooler talk today, got me thinking.
how many times over the years do I wish they would have changed crews, ha
