After a visit to Dallas to watch the Hogs play Texas A&M with teammate and Arkansas commit Tay Lockett this past weekend, 2026 wide receiver Madden Williams told HawgBeat wants to see more.
"I loved all the coaches and all the fans that they had," Williams told HawgBeat. "It was a great atmosphere to be in. It was a great place that I feel like they really love Arkansas football, and I could just see myself being in a place like that."
Williams plays with 2026 Arkansas commit Tay Lockett at St. John Bosco in California. Locket accompanied Williams on his visit to Texas over the weekend.
Williams said if he chose Arkansas, Lockett and his stepdad would be a "big part" of the decision.
"They've really been the ones to push Arkansas football," Williams said. "Obviously they are the reason I came out this weekend. They've been a really great connection through to Arkansas and I could definitely see them being a reason why (Arkansas) would be higher on my list."
That list is no joke, either. Williams holds offers from Georgia, Oregon, Texas, UCLA and others. He's taken visits to Texas, Oregon and UCLA already, and he said he would like to get out to Fayetteville soon.
"I was talking about it with Tay and Nate (Tay's stepdad) and we definitely were talking about definitely going (to Fayetteville)," Williams said. "They were like 'how'd you like the visit?' and I was like 'it was great' and they were like 'you'll like it even more when you go to Fayetteville and actually go to the stadium to see how the actual environment is in Arkansas.'"
Williams said a visit could possibly happen later this year or in the spring.
For St. John Bosco this season, Williams has hauled in 28 passes for 293 yards and two touchdowns in six games.
Arkansas currently has two commits in the class of 2026 in Lockett and offensive lineman Bear McWhorter from Cartersville, Georgia.
