1. Our tackling was not too sharp and the head man said that was on him because he did not let them get game ready in practice but he was okay with that because it helped keep his players healthy.
2. Reed not making plays? I think he and the Allens are still pretty new together and will get better. Look at the timing Brandon has with Hatcher. Also, he is going to get better at being skinny and getting pushed around.....and still being able to get to the ball.
....He is also going to get the plays down and know where to go
3. They stacked the line against us and no OL can block that many people. I can except that because we can now hurt you with the pass. I actually thought there were times when we broke their heart with some ugly 3-4 yard runs. They sold out and we still made positive yards.
4. Allen looking bad on some bad throws. It takes two guys in a passing game and we don't always know when the receiver is the guy that ran the wrong way or slowed down at the wrong time. Allen is not perfect but still may end up the best QB in the SEC this year???
5. Linebackers being picked on. I think us playing a vanilla defense plus them having a very good back made it look bad for us at times but I think we will keep getting better there throughout the season
Overall I thought we looked very good for a first game and I think we have played much, much worse teams UTEP
