Been keeping up with Layne the last two summers, as he was playing with AAO Flight, which feature a couple kids I know.
Layne might be one of the best scorers in Arkansas history. Kid gets absolute buckets no matter the competition level. His only downfall is that he’s 5’11 with shoes on. Other than that, he’s got the motor/shot creating ability/tenacity to be a high caliber D1 kid. He’s got offers from a lot of smaller D1s (reminiscent of Austin Reeves recruitment). Not sure if he’d come walk on and take NIL team deal plus academic scholarships but he is every bit of a scorer as Rotnei Clarke was in his time on the Hill.
