I have done community service with young folks for 25+ years in the inner cities of Washington D.C., Houston, Detroit, Baltimore, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, and now Tampa/St. Petersburg. I have carried Narcan (Naloxone HCI) (Nasal Spray, the first nasal formulation of naloxone to be FDA approved for the treatment of known or suspected opioid overdose) for over 7 years just in case of an opioid overdose.
Prior to last year I had only used it once. More often I would turn it in because it expired. Since last year I have used it 15 TIMES!!!! Why? More and More Street Drugs are being laced with Fentanyl.
Fentanyl is 50 to 100 times more potent than morphine.
