It's not often the Hogs are in a good position for an elite player out of the state of Louisiana, but Sam Pittman and his staff are in on a good one in Many, Louisiana, native Tylen Singleton.
Singleton took an official visit to Fayetteville over the weekend. The No. 114 player in the country for the 2024 class said afterward Arkansas is firmly in his top five after his visit.
"It was a great visit," Singleton said. "I loved everything about it. I'm definitely gonna keep them in my Top 5 and a place to consider home."
That top five is comprised of Arkansas, LSU, Texas A&M, Tennessee and TCU. Singleton has been to Fayetteville on three separate occasions on unofficial visits. He was on hand on Nov. 12 of last year, when LSU visited Arkansas and secured a 13-10 win.
His most recent visit came on April 8, during one of Arkansas' Prospect Days.
One thing that makes Arkansas so high on the list is how long Singleton has had a relationship with the coaches. He's held an offer from Arkansas since March 2021, and that length of time is paying off.
"They've been talking to me since the beginning of my freshman year when they offered me," Singleton said. "They've been on me since then."
As a junior for Many High School, Singleton recorded 58 total tackles, nine of which were for loss in 2022.
Singleton is ranked the No. 3 player in the state of Louisiana and the No. 10 safety in the country, according to Rivals.
