1.Eric Cole did a excellent job as a freshman table-setter for the Hogs. He showed wonderful
potential to be a sparkplug and catalyst for the offense. A great opening to his Hog career.
2.Great weather. Great fan support and energy. Great defense. Great start for the season.
3.Bonfield gets off the schneid and outta the doghouse. Here's hoping his Sunday Jack
ignites his season.
4.Tac takes control. Taccolini rings the bell on the mound and sets the tone for Razorback
pitching for the weekend. He had a battle on his hand with the opponent's pitcher matching
him pitch for pitch and Tac didn't flinch.
5.Shaddy was a 2 strikes in the hole monster!. Several solid ABs by Shaddy down in the
count 0-2. This could have easily been a whiff weekend without the performance of
the 1-2 hitters in the line-up.
Other notes...good to see the situational play by Simms in the PR role, Arledge as PH, Catron
as DH, solid middle D by Bernal and Nomura, closer Jackson, new bullpen faces, the new
scoreboard, and no mistakes at the corners or backstop.
