The Hogs were clearly the 2nd best team in the SEC this season, so lose today and that doesn't change. But, the postseason is a new season, and now it's about survive and advance. That should be motivation enough to continue to establish that we are nationally relevant again. That, coupled with the fact that we've lost our last 2 games -- KY and LSU -- against teams with more talent than us, this is a new opportunity to be the better team, even if the overall talent edge goes to Georgia.

I don't think what we do today defines our destiny in the NCAAT, because that's going to come down to matchups, whether we get a 5 or 6 seed. But, because we have an opportunity to beat another RPI Top 50 team away from home to set up a monster SECT title game with Kentucky, games like this are necessary to feed the national perception that the Hogs are back.

In so many seasons when we had it rolling years ago, we didn't need the SECT to fuel us, because we were a team built for the national tourney anyway. However, we've been irrelevant for so long, I think doing well in this tournament is important to continue moving that needle forward. We need to be playing Kentucky in high-stakes matchups with national title implications. We need to seize the moment and take back from Florida what is ours -- a seat next to KY in the pecking order

Georgia is a good team, the 3rd best in the league. We'll be okay if we lose today, but we'll be much better off with a W that gives us a shot at KY in front of a national TV audience that will be paying attention. It's time to brand that Razorback logo again with a W today. Then tomorrow, we're playing with house money with a chance to put a dent in Big Blue's armor.
