Are we sure we want to do that this soon? Nobody is happy right now, but this is hardly the first time a season has gotten off to a much worse than expected start, only to have things turn around down the road. It's happened to Bret at Wisconsin. It may or may not happen here, but the man didn't just forget how to coach. I think the losses we suffered on D and the injuries this year have had a bigger impact than he expected and that is on him, no doubt, but I don't think it's time to turn on the guy just yet. His success in the past wasn't an accident and I still expect he will have success here. Everyone wanted to believe the pieces were all in place and they simply aren't, but that doesn't mean they won't be. I know I'm not ready to start over with someone new. Let's give this time to play out. This was never a 10 win team as much as we were convinced it was and injuries have only made it worse. The mistake Bret made was in buying into the hype himself. He would have been much better served to have tempered expectations and the uproar right now wouldn't have been nearly as loud. Some needs still must to be addressed in recruiting, but I just don't see us being that far away. Stupid penalties, injuries and a nervous QB have been the difference in 1-2 and 3-0. I get it that everyone is pissed. I'm pissed too, but I really think we need to step back and take a deep breath before we start demanding a change.
