This time off has really hurt some government bureaucracies... They only have two full time Tabc agents for the whole city of austin, which is the agency that regulates any place that sells alcohol. Also, the fire department only has two full time fire Marshall’s for the whole city... Great news for the bars because they’re not going to enforce anything. They need our tax money to get back up and running. TABC is purely funded by a liquor tax in Texas.
For reference, I imagine Austin has around 20 of each usually.
A Fire Marshall literally told me I could let 40 more people in when we were already at 25%...
I’m sure none of you give a shit but I’m sober and feel like posting.
