There is a reason why Saban hired Kiffin and moved to more of a west coast offense than a run it down your throat offense. This is the SEC and even with the ability to cherry pick recruits nationally when the other team knows what you are going to do they can stop it. Even TT and Toledo can stop you when they know what you are going to do. We are in the same mold we were when Nutt was here only there's no DMac, no Felix, no Matt Jones. Competition is tougher today too. When you are predictable you can't do better than .500 in the SEC. Especially not with the second tier recruiting.
If we want to get back to the level we were at with Petrino we are going to need another coach that can make the best defensive coordinators in the country look silly again.
