Have researched, but need some local confirmation re: I-40 in ARK.

From what I read, I-40 construction near Forrest still
has some delays after a year of major renovation. Have found alternate
routes and text alert systems, but just looking do some local knowledge.
How bad is it? Trying to figure ACTUAL drive time from Memphis to LR so
we can plan ahead.

Just get off I -40 at the Parkin (256) exit. Turn left, go under the interstate and turn right (west) on hwy 70. Stay on it through Forrest City. You'll go completely through town until you get to the bypass west of town. Just follow the signs and you'll be around the construction and back on I 40. The detour usually doesn't add 10 -15 minutes to the trip.

Battlefield knowledge rules. Reports vary from various transportation sites. Thought it might look worse than it is right now.

That stretch of I 40 is under perpetual reconstruction. I don't think I have ever been to Memphis without that area having road work.
