Welcome to another week here on HawgBeat.com! We are continuing our weekly recruiting thread, which we will try to fill with recruiting news for all three sports throughout the week. The goal of this thread is to eliminate all of the little update threads for recruiting tidbits and have it all in one spot to make it easier to navigate the board!

Kelshaun Johnson had to push back his commitment announcement because of power issues at his high school in Texas because of the hurricane. Arkansas, Texas, Texas A&M, USC and Texas Tech are the finalists.

Not seeing Arkansas here, think Texas A&M wins out, but could be another Tavion Wallace situation?

Arkansas tidbits from the story:

“With more than 40 offers, Krempin has a ton of options and has seen a lot of programs so far in his recruitment but the ones that have definitely stood out so far are LSU, SMU, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma Alabama and Arkansas.

“There is not necessarily a favorite yet for the 2026 four-star offensive tackle from Prospect, Texas, as he till wants to visit Michigan, Clemson, Oklahoma State, Nebraska, Florida State and Wisconsin but his recruitment is definitely taking on a regional feel.”

“Auburn seemed to have an edge earlier in Vaughn’s recruitment but now the four teams to watch are Mississippi State, LSU, Arkansas and Ole Miss.

“There has been some talk that the Rebels might have the edge now for the four-star DL from Madison (Miss.) Hartfield Academy but this could end up being an in-state battle between Ole Miss and the Bulldogs.”

“Oregon is definitely a big school in Waverly’s commitment but it will be interesting to see if that remains the case after four-star DaSaahn Brame committed recently.

“The new Washington coaching staff has not reached out to the four-star tight end from Mukilteo (Wash.) Kamiak but Arkansas has been more and more involved recently so the Razorbacks could be one to watch.”

I put it in last week's thread that CJ Bass had a commitment date set. Missouri won out for him. They're on an absolute tear in recruiting right now.

Arkansas tidbits:

What was once a two-team battle between LSU and Texas A&M has now expanded into a four-team race with the Aggies seemingly moving on to other targets.

LSU remains a top team for the high three-star defensive tackle from Mansfield (Texas) Timberview with Cal, TCU and Arkansas as the other three to watch.

Arkansas is the lone SEC program to watch for the high three-star athlete from Lucedale (Miss.) George County so the Razorbacks could end up getting Bradley as the other programs mainly involved in his recruitment are South Alabama, Western Kentucky, Memphis and Jacksonville State.

A lot of programs have come in and out of DeBlanc’s recruitment and things have changed a lot over the years for the Houston (Texas) North Shore wide receiver but one program has stayed consistently involved with him.

Arkansas has continued to stay after the high three-star receiver and the word is that the Razorbacks have “mainly” been the team coming after him now.

I'm told 2026 QB Jayvon Gilmore will be at the Hogwild Hangout on July 27.

Also expecting 2025 commits Grayson Wilson, Quentin Murphy and Antonio Jordan to be in attendance, among others. We'll try to get a full list out in the next few days or so.
