Nobody would have predicted that Arkansas' struggle for balance this season would come at the cost of a physical rushing attack.
The offense returns several multi-year starters with some added boost at the skill spots. But the right mix of penalties, poor red zone play, missed assignments and no dedication to the running game resulted in a 16-12 loss at the hands of MAC member Toledo in the second game of the season.
Arkansas instantly went from media darling and dark horse candidate to the joke of the week. The Razorbacks have no choice but to put the loss behind them but at the same time learn from the many mistakes that resulted in the worst loss of Bret Bielema's head coaching career.

Arkansas quarterback Brandon Allen ranks fifth in the entire country in passing yards per game with 360.0 through two starts. Allen is 46 of 71 passing (64.8 percent) for 720 yards, 4 touchdowns and an interception. Allen ranks fourth in the SEC with a 165.7 efficiency rating. This is not a good thing. "This is a setback, but I don't think anyone's jumping off the ship or anything. This team has a bunch of leaders, a bunch of guys pulling it along," Allen said.
There has been a lot of talk about Arkansas' offensive line this week as the Hogs managed just 103 yards on 31 carries. The week before, Arkansas put up 182 on 34, though 70 came on a run with 2 seconds left before halftime.
"You get what you emphasize, and we've thrown 73 passes, we haven't given up a sack and we can't run the ball, and that's coaching. We're trying to get it fixed best we can, and we'll get it fixed," Arkansas offensive line coach Sam Pittman said...CLICK HERE FOR THE FULL STORY
