Arkansas wrapped up the Tuesday 'grind day,' and there is excitement around the Fred W. Smith center as game week has finally arrived.

The Razorbacks held a one-hour practice on Sunday, did not take the field Monday and held a two-hour practice on Tuesday that wrapped up at approximately 6:45 p.m.

"I think you can ask anyone on our team, we're sick of hitting each other," Arkansas starting quarterback Brandon Allen said. "We're ready to get a different opponent out there, and I think we're all itching to play on Saturday."

Ready to see Reed?

One of the most discussed players this summer has been junior college wide receiver transfer Dominique Reed, a 6-3, 180-pounder burner who apparently cannot be overthrown on a go or a post route.

"It's not possible. It's impossible. I've tried. Unless I take a quick drop and chunk it as far as I can, it's very difficult to out-throw him," Allen said. "That's kind of what you've got to do with him. It depends on the route he's running, but straight, running downfield, he can fly, and you've got to get it out early if you want to put it on the money for him."

Joe Moore Award

An award named for legendary offensive line coach Joe Moore, who made his mark at Pittsburgh and Notre Dame, has been established to honor an entire group of offensive linemen. Media members, select former players and 128 offensive line coaches will vote for "the toughest, most physical offensive line unit in the country in December. It's the first known award to honor an entire position group.
