After a week to digest the Toledo loss, giving me time to calm down and reflect, WTF have we done to our offense?!?!?!? I am amazed that CBB ran off Chaney -- who too often abandoned the run while putting too much on BA relative to his lack of play-making ability -- only to bring in a guy (Enos) who seems to have advanced the work that Chaney was doing. A spring, a summer, a fall camp, and 2 games down the road from Chaney, we've got Enos dialing up 53 passes for Brandon Allen in a one-possession game.
I don't know if the plan was to get BETTER in the passing game, but they goofed up moving around lineman and didn't remember to make sure the running game was still our bread-and-butter?; OR if losing Jonathan Williams was a crippling blow to our offense and we just didn't know it would be?; OR if Enos was asked to transform Brandon Allen into Dan Fouts? OR if we just had a miserable day as a team? Maybe a mixture of all of the above?
Here we are in week 3, hosting TTech ... last year, we ran for 450-plus yards against TTech, but does anyone expect us to get half of that today?
ITT, tell me how were are going to turn our rushing fortunes around, and who gets it done, including workload, yards, TDs, etc. Or tell my why we won't ...
