That will be mailed tomorrow to the head of SEC Officials:
Let me know what you think?
Mr Redding,
First, let me thank you for taking the time to read my letter, I will attempt to be brief.
While watching the Football game between the University of Florida & the University of Arkansas on CBS television Saturday October 17th, I was in a word appalled at the horrific officiating displayed in the game.
What began as a well played contest between two proud institutions, dissolved into questionable ethics & a tainted ending which was all too evidenced by the announcer, Gary Danielson, bringing light to two specific plays, which were just part & parcel of the total.
As a long time lover of College Football, and in particular SEC ball, I felt compelled to ink this response in hopes it will persuade you to take action.
Now, before I am written off as a lunatic fringe fan, I would like to call out that I am a Program Manager for New Market Development at a prestigious Forbes top 30 company. I do not regularly send out complaint letters or question the integrity of institutions.
However, in further delving into the debacle I witnessed yesterday, I have noted that the SAME crew of referees were not only assigned to the Florida/Arkansas game, but also held court in the LSU/Georgia game earlier this year that received negative national attention regarding this officiating crews actions impacating the games outcome.
Mr Redding, I regularly hold grown people accountable for their actions in a professional manner. It is the nature of any Manager to do so for the good of their company, shareholders, employees. I am asking that you show the same sense of Management purpose in whatever manner you see fit with this obviously inept, and possibly corrupt group of individuals.
As you are no doubt aware, and I am sure much more than I; the officials in a sporting event cannot become the event, and are merely there to assure fair play is conducted by both teams in the areana. Any perceived favoritism, particularly as blatant as was displayed Saturday, cannot be condoned. It merely brings a sad fog to the landscape of our great sport, our conference, and to be succinct, to you should you choose not to take action.
I am forwarding this correspondence to my Congressional Representative Senator John Cornyn for his thoughts. And while I fully realize you are not in his jurisdiction, this matter dictates further review .
I will be anxiously watching to note your actions with this team of individuals, and future governance of your officials.
Thank you sincerely for your time,
