But that's fine. It's why I pay what I do to be a member here on a fairly normal college sports message board. ;)

We're all varying degrees of frustrated or upset. That's to be expected after the last two weeks. There are some things about this year that are substantially different. For one, our arguably biggest threat on offense won't see the field and our biggest playmakers on defense graduated last year. Then, you add more injuries and that's where we're at on this Sunday morning.

What's happened? Well, I tend to believe the coach when he's talked about building depth and quality players that can do and be what we need them to be. We have a glaring weakness at LB and we were spoiled last year with Spaight. He was phenomenal. We're hurting there and it is a domino effect of things that happen on that side of the ball. Flowers was a beast. That guy changed things.

But depth has really challenged us and guys have had to grow up fast. Faster than BB probably wanted or even anticipated.

I'm sure many will want to trash the coaches and that's your right with your money you pay here. I think some of what's gone on is on their shoulders but there is some "long ball" in all this that I think if we're not playing we're always going to be losing. We have to build depth. We have to build talent. We have to continue to get better. A lot of our guys at skill positions who are having to play are Sophmores or some juniors - now than before. We had some seniors but they got hurt or left early. Some of the older guys are not as talented as we need.

Chaney's system was one people didn't like. Now they don't like Enos's. Who do you not like more? It's hard to say at this point. Maybe Chaney had more "wisdom" on what kind of personnel we had than Enos has. Maybe not. Maybe Enos had to adjust based on losing J-Will in a way he thought would work. Maybe not.

Regardless in all of this we need to be a better fans in ways we always struggle to be. I'm not saying we shouldn't get frustrated or what not but I think we have to recognize the factors that BB had to deal with coming in, heck, even in year three. Some inherited players now totally gone, some of his kids just now playing (Sophmores) and learning it all.

Does it deserve our patience and support? I think so, but, that's what I chose to use my $90/year on here for. And maybe that's why I'll start to read more and post less. When we have periods like this the trolling is intense and it gets bad. Polls of new coaches, how long do we keep BB, and so on. It's sad that some spend money to be negative. But, hey, that's how it goes.

I hope we can keep cheering hard and supporting our team. If we had an equal amount of positivity that we do in negativity, it would really help with things off the field. But that's probably too much to ask. Much like asking anyone to read this post for this long.

Go Hogs, and have a wonderful Sunday. It's beautiful over here on the East Coast.
