Just to make sure I get out front on this in case it's ever questioned later:
So apparently Nick had a "publicist" of sorts who dropped the ball and let his commitment go too soon tonight on Twitter.
He retweeted her tweet, which said he had flipped from UNC to Arkansas.
I saw he had retweeted it, so I called him. I told him congrats, asked him to confirm that he had flipped and that he's ready to go public with it, and he said yes.
I then got quotes from him, told him congrats again, then added the quotes to my story that had been written for days.
The lady knew she had dropped the ball and then told Nick to tweet that he's still undecided.
I hate that it got out on his end, but there's not a lot I can do to retract it once it's out. That's exactly what happened and I hate it for him, but what I've said here is exactly what happened.
