I happen to flip past the Longhorn Network and Strong was doing his PC. The question was about how they brought in recruits in mass two weeks ago. They ended up signing 18 of the 22 kids who were there the Jan 19th weekend. He smartly told the kids who wanted to commit then and there to wait. Why? Because he knew that given the less than stellar record any commit who declared to UT would be attacked hard. He said he knew they were going to have this kind of day. He must have slept like a baby last night.
The most interesting part to me dealt with Porter. He had classified 3-4 guys including Porter who he didn't have a good read on. He said Porter's commitment was icing on the cake that was served today. He had no idea that Porter was coming. So I wonder what changed the momentum on him?
