I was wondering if there are two sides to this situation.
I can see the trust a QB has in a receiver being a great thing. They get on the 'same page' and know each others instinctive moves. They gain confidence in each other (a real plus in sports)
..Players do this all the time because all teams have a leading receiver, a star so to speak, that other teams have to plan around.
On the other hand, it seems like a defense has a helping hand if they know who the QB will be looking for most of the time....If they can shut down the one top guy, it should help them stop the offense.
I thought of this during the game when Hatcher was having an awful game yet Allen kept throwing to him. I was wondering who Toledo was blessed with where they could shut down both Henry and Sprinkle at the same time because they seemed under used.
Also, having seen Reed in person.......I am very hurt and almost angry, that he did not get a few go routes in the game
