im sure most of us fans talking about moving Denver to guard isn't so much about him NOT playing well at left Tackle, but more about:
1- running game is not like a year ago
2- Smothers is weakest link
3- rag now would replace Smothers
4- We here all the time about how good B Wallace is.
5- The obvious "back to the drawing Board" from first 2 games would suggest change.
I have 100% confidence that Sam Pittman is the MAN! Nobody wants the HOGS to win more than our coaches! So my opinion has been about disagreeing with the coaches. It's more about what they might do. Obviously, they feel DK is better for us at LT. And Smothers and Ragnow will step up. Fair enough! I'm still on board.
Just want to clear up that for most of us, I'm guessing, felt the same as me on the rationale to move Denver. Not that he has sucked, but we need help inside and with his injury, maybe it was the best way to keep him on the field.
