IN HIS OWN WORDS

"I'm headed to the University of Arkansas," Greer said. "I talked to coach Pittman and coach Kennedy. I'm really excited that I'm going to be a part of their family and they're excited as well that I'm going to be a part of it. It was great hearing from them. They were really nice and respectful to me this whole process, even after I had committed to Stanford, and that just set him apart from all the other coaches. They cared for me as a person as well as being a football player.

"I when I was going through all my all of my trips, every school I visited I was kind of comparing to Arkansas since it was one of my first visits and it was just so great," he said. "They were my No. 1 (school) throughout that whole process and I finally made it reality.

"It was great seeing coach Kennedy really help his players when they asked for some extra help through film and practice," Greer said of his visit during spring practice. "I could really see myself being developed by him to my full potential. I think it'll be really happy at Arkansas and I think we'll do great things there.

On if Sam Pittman's background as an offensive line coach played a role in his decision- "It definitely was a factor for me," he said. "It's definitely a pro that the head coach used to be an o-line coach and really understands that part of the game. There's a few other schools that have coaches like that, but the situation at Arkansas just stood out to me with how involved coach Pittman was with the o-line during practice."

RIVALS' REACTION

Greer is a tough, strong lineman who projects as a right tackle or guard. He is a great run blocker who drive defenders off the ball, plays with good balance, and finishes his blocks. Greer is good at pulling and finding defenders to block while in space. He is nimble enough to effectively block defensive backs on screen passes and that agility shows up when he's in pass protection. Greer hasn't faced many high end pass rushers but he has the tools to excel once he gets more experience.
