This seems to have gotten lost with everything else that cost us the game with BYU, but why were we kicking those short bouncing kickoffs twice in a row early in the game to BYU. The first one worked out great, we covered it and tackled him at the 20. The one after Sategna's punt return, we didn't do so good. It flipped the field position, we got pinned around our 5, and we had to give it right back to them at midfield. They pulled off the throwback touchdown pass off a short-field position. Our punter botched one kick and then shanked another, back to back. They scored in one play after the 10-yard shank to our 45. The game was suddenly all in their hands, they got the lead, but we were able to wrestle it back for a while before the midfield fourth-down failure.
