Yesterday I was listening to a radio station and they were discussing how coaches hate spring games and there should be better ways to finish off the spring, a caller comes on and recommends playing another teams at the end of the spring. I didn't much care for that idea, but it got me thinking, why aren't there scrimmages in college football similar to the nfl? It doesn't even have to be a smaller opponent, you could schedule another power 5 team and go home and home for a few years where you play a legit first half and the next half you let your redshirts and back ups get time for the season. It may be a stupid question, just want to hear some thoughts.
