In a previous post I had a Sunday brain fart and came off like the FNG when I hastely posted a question about the cash package and launched into an offensive overview of the tight ends. I was attempting to start a discussion about getting as many tight ends as possible on the field with the 12 personnel package and mistakenly referred to the defensive package that often includes 3 DEs (the cash package). Sorry for that.
I do still wonder if we will see Henry and Sprinkle in the usual 12 personnel with one of the receivers being either Austin or CJ?
That is a lot of big athletic receivers to cover and/or good blockers on the field. 3 guys that go 6"5 250 that can legitimately catch and run present a lot of problems.
Seems like a good goal line or 3rd and short formation. It just seems like with what is proven coming back and so many new guys like the freshman TEs and Reed and Jojo with so much upside that this could be a year that the offense has the kind of jump in the statistical rankings the D had last year.
And it's not like we are hanging our hats on one guy. There are multiple guys that have huge potential. That seems very different than years past.
