A lot of people seem to think this costs us any shot at landing Malik Monk. If that is true, this is a darker cloud than just losing a good player in Beard.
But in desperately seeking any kind of silver lining, it occurs to me that Coach Bielema may be able to use this as a teachable moment for the football team, without having to lose a player. You know many of the FB guys must know Anton and Jacorey. If I were CBB, I would damn sure talk about this the first chance I got with the guys, to make sure they understand just how stupid it was and the impact it's going to have on Beard's future. If it saves us from having an off-the-field meltdown on the FB team, then at least some good comes of it.
